CHINA-INDIA News : Indian-China War, 5 Chinese Soldier Killed and 3 Indian Army Personnel Martyrs Today


A Violent Face-off seen on Monday night between India and China, this is the first time any casualty seen on India-China border after 45 years since Four Jawans of Assam Rifles Martyr in Chinese ambush that took place at Tulung La Region of Arunachal Pradesh.

In an official statement, Indian Army officials stated that "During the De-Escalation process underway in the Galwan valley, a violent face-off took place Monday Night with Casualty on both Indian and Chinses side, 3 Martyrs on the Indian side including one Commanding Officer and two Jawans and 5 Chinese Killed. This violent clash between India and China happen near the Patrolling Point 14 in the Galwan Valley region. No Bullets fired, the clash was with stones, Hand-to-Hand Scuffles, and clubs.

Indian Army Statement said : "Senior military officials of the two sides are currently meeting at the venue to defuse the situation".

Editor in Chief of Global Times Chinese Newspaper tweeted," Based On what I know, the Chinese side also suffered casualties in the Galwan Valley physical clash. I want to tell the Indian side, Don't be arrogant and Misread China's restraint as being weak. China Doesn't want to have a clash with India, but we don't fear it.

Chinese Foreign Ministry statement: Clashes broke out on Monday between China and India's border troops in Galwan Valley, after Indian troops crossed the border for illegal activities and launched provocative attacks on Chinese personnel. China has lodged a strong protest with Inda. 

According to reports Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh briefed PM Narender Modi on the incident at the border via Video Call with Chief of Defence Staff {CDS} General Bipin Rawat, External minister S. JaiShankar and Three Military chiefs of Indian Armed Forces.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Zhao Lijian Said, "we once again solemnly ask the Indian side to follow our consensus, strictly regulate its front-line troops and do not cross the line, do not stir up troubles or make unilateral moves that may complicate matters".

Due to this standoff between two countries India increasing its troop along the Indo-China border from Ladakh to North-east in last few days. China also Increasing its troops along the LAC.



When was the last War happen between India-China?

In 1967, India-China did have a war in 1967 at two locations Nathu La and Cho La on the eastern front. PLA launched an attack on Indian posts in Nathu La and Cho La. During this War in 1967 Indian Army gave a benefitting reply and taught a good lesson to the PLA of China. In this war, the Indian side lost 80 Army Personel while PLA faces major loss of 400 PLA army personnel.

Indian Govt wants to build 66 key roads along with the Chinese Border by 2022 to increase connectivity to remote areas and better movement of Armed forces to Chinese border in any conflict situation. Out of 66, one is Darbuk-Shyok-Daulat Beg Oldi Road {also known as DSDBO road} which connects Leh to the strategic Karakoram Pass.
